So I went into work today, and my co-worker Nikki was the only person there. We said hello and all that business, and then she holds up this piece of plastic that is probably a little over 2 inches long, and is kinda triangular so it extends about an inch in the other direction... maybe an inch wide. She asked me if I had ever seen it before, and I said no. APPARENTLY a man found it in his sandwich!?!? I guess some guy came back to tell us that he bought a sandwich last wednesday around 10 and took it on an airplane with him... while on the airplane, he bit into his sandwich and into this huge hunk of plastic, causing him to chip his teeth and break his fillings and all sorts of shit like that. He now wants us to pay for his medical bills to get his teeth fixed. RIDICULOUS!! First of all, none of us have ever seen the piece of plastic in our lives. It looks like the brake to a baby stroller. It even says something on it about pressing it to hold, and something about releasing. It is not a part of ANYTHING in our store. So, say somehow it got in our store. How would it get onto our side of the counter? The place where we make sandwiches has a complete wall of glass, aka the sneezecatcher. It used to have a gap between the glass and the counter, but it doesnt any more and hasnt for 3 months. No possible way it could have gotten over. And just SAY that in some crazy way it had gotten to my side of the counter... how did it get into his sandwich? The only thing where I dont grab individual pieces of the vegetable is lettuce, besides tiny things like olives and whatnot, but it wouldnt fit in those. However, he claims it was a six inch BMT. The amount of lettuce I put on a six inch would DEFINATELY not be enough to hide this huge thing, not to mention dont you think I would have seen it in the lettuce? Or felt it when I closed the sandwich? I have been working at Subway for 2 years now, and I think I would notice if something was that different about the sandwich. Not to mention that if he did in fact eat this sandwich on the airplane, he would have had to send it through the scanner. And dont you think a big piece of plastic would look out of place, and vaguely suspicious to the ridiculously overcautious airport personel? Yeah, this guy's full of shit. I was the only one working that night, I'm supposed to talk to some people about it, but I dont even remember the guy. How ridiculous.
